  1. Phil Bakstad

    Phil has worked at LJMU for over 16 years. He’s currently the Student Inclusion Lead within the Student Advice and Wellbeing Team and has recently started a new role as Diversity and Inclusion Associate Dean for Professional Services. Since 2010, Phil has also led on organising and representing LJMU at the annual Liverpool Pride March.

  2. Ibe Hayter

    Ibe founded Cycle for Life, a Toxteth based organisation that strives to ensure the community has a voice in the active travel revolution in Liverpool and the confidence to cycle in their city. Ibe and his team are getting support from LJMU’s Business School to now scale up their community-focused work and increase their social value.

  3. Habi Ceesay

    Habi was born in the Gambia but spent most of her formative years in Germany before moving to the UK. She has overcome the obstacles and discrimination that she faced throughout her childhood and teenage years in Germany, to seek out her own opportunities, to educate herself and to work with others to challenge unconscious bias and promote inclusivity.
