PhD students are accelerating elite athletes through sport science
Well done and thank you to our colleagues for raising vital funds for our charity partner.
This month we are launching the Your LJMU Your Voice 2024 staff engagement survey.
LJMU, WWF and HUTAN came together to examine better ways of detecting the great apes in the Bornean forest canopy, by using drones fitted with thermal-imaging cameras.
Recognition for enterprising Business School student.
For the first time astronomers, including Dr Richard Parker, of the Astrophysics Research Institute at LJMU, have caught a multiple-star system as it is created, and their observations are providing new insight into how such systems, and possibly the solar system, are formed. The amazing images taken from a series of telescopes on Earth show clouds of gas which are in the process of developing into stars.
Student Voice Season is now under way at LJMU with the launch of the National Student Survey (NSS) 2025
Dr Renske Smit will be joining the Astrophysics Research Institute as an STFC Ernest Rutherford Fellow. We caught up with her to find out more about achievements in astronomy and her plans for her time at LJMU.
An opt-in period is now open for a staff dental plan.
