Internal Technician – Building Surveying Apprenticeship

Employer: Auger Site Investigations Ltd

Role description:

In the Internal Technician role you will be responsible for drafting reports and proposing remedial works following site investigations for subsidence and utilities insurance claims. You will be liaising with our external engineers on a daily basis to ensure that you have interpreted their findings correctly to ensure that any further works or repairs that you are recommending are feasible while ensuring the clients philosophy is adhered to. You will be assisting internal account managers when dealing with technical queries from clients or policy holders and also aiding external engineers to provide an exceptional technical support service. It will be your responsibility to ensure that all allocated reports and technical queries are dealt with efficiently within the agreed timescale.

About the employer:

Salary:

£12,000 - £16,000

Entry qualifications required:

You’ll need to have achieved or are expected to achieve three A level passes with grades A*-C, one of which should be maths, or equivalent to 112 UCAS points. You must have a maths GCSE with grade 4 or C and above, or equivalent maths qualifications, as well as an English Language GCSE with grade 4 or C and above.

Microsoft .NET Web Developer Apprenticeship

Employer: 360 Systems Ltd

Role description:

As an apprentice you'll work with experienced Full Stack Developers, taking an active part in projects and rapidly improving your software development skills. 360 Systems will start you off with HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript for front end development and then C# for the back-end server side code. This is the start of our fast track programme to turning you into a commercial web developer using Microsoft .NET and the Azure Cloud platform.

As well as software development you will gain experience in DevOps from requirements gathering with business people through to prototyping, coding, delivery and support. Your analytical approach to problem solving, strong maths and passion for software development will make you an asset to the team. In return you will work on a range of interesting projects building websites, mobile applications and web portal systems for clients in the UK, Europe and some further afield.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn core development technologies
  • 1st line support for systems, websites and customers
  • Test systems as part of a project team
  • Take on day-to-day tasks of experienced developers
  • Employ coding best practices in the work you do
  • Create high quality systems
  • Code Web and Mobile Apps using HTML, CSS and JavaScript Frameworks
  • Write backend systems in C# ASP.NET MVC

360 Systems is a Microsoft Business Partner providing web and mobile web development services to UK companies. Since 1999 they have been building bespoke web systems and websites for clients such as Hitachi, London Fire Brigade, Cheshire Police and Pertemps. Their applications and support expertise are available to use On Premise or in The Microsoft Azure Cloud.
