Life as a teacher means that every day you’ll get the chance to inspire young people and use your skills to give something back – making sure every pupil gets the same access to a quality education and the opportunity to succeed. In partnership with the National College for Teaching and Leadership we are hosting an event that will help you to find out what a career in teaching could offer you.

The Train to Teach event will take place on Saturday 1 April in the John Lennon Art and Design Building (next to the Catholic Cathedral).

Attendees can arrive any time from 10am and the event closes at 4pm. Typically you will spend around 90 minutes to two hours at the event.

With a 30 minute introductory presentation explaining all the routes into teaching, funding options and the rewards of teaching, the event also features an expert advice zone and will be attended by a range of Initial Teacher Training providers in the local area.

Whereever you are in your ‘teaching’ journey from thinking about a career to being ready to apply for training, there will be something at this event to help you.

You need to register to attend this free event.

We look forward to meeting you.
