Northern Ireland Applicant Day
If you are in receipt of an offer of a place or interview date we’ll send you an invitation to attend our annual Northern Ireland Applicant Day at the Belfast Hilton, which takes place in February each year. Successful applicants will receive a personal invitation to attend this event around December/January.
Hundreds of prospective students attend the Belfast Applicant Day, which is a great opportunity to chat directly to academic staff from applicants’ chosen Faculties, be involved in Q&A sessions, and get advice on student funding and accommodation, all without having to travel to Liverpool.
In addition, all successful applicants will receive an invitation to attend a regular departmental Applicant Day at LJMU.
Opportunities for Northern Ireland students and teachers
Prospective students considering applying to LJMU, those already holding offers, and teachers and careers advisors can all discover more about the University at the summer residential visit, Applicant Days and Careers Advisors Day.

Northern Ireland Residential
Summer residential: Wednesday 20 June - Friday 22 June 2018
This year we are once again inviting Year 13 students from Northern Ireland to attend a free residential visit, to coincide with the LJMU Open Day. The event will spread over three days and two nights.
During the residential visit, students will attend the University’s Open Day and take part in taster sessions for a selection of programmes. There will also be plenty of team building and social activities, including a treasure hunt to familiarise themselves with the city, as well as opportunities to engage with Student Advocates about student life. The event is funded by LJMU and is completely free for participants.
The Residential is aimed at students who are seriously considering applying to LJMU for 2019 entry and information provided in your application form should strongly support your wish to take part. Please tell us as much as you can about the reasons why you are interested in studying at LJMU and what you are hoping to gain from the event. You can treat it as a “dry run” of your UCAS Personal Statement!
This event is now closed for registration and shortlisting is taking place. If you missed the application deadline, why not consider our Summer Universities instead?

The welcome talk from the LJMU students made me realise LJMU should definitely be my first choice of University.
Northern Ireland Careers Advisors Events
Through our outreach activities future LJMU students discover what a vibrant student city Liverpool is – we want teachers and careers advisors to experience this thriving city too.
These events are a great opportunity to meet LJMU admissions and academic staff, learn about our programmes, tour the state-of-the-art teaching facilities, and find out what the city of Liverpool has to offer.
Typically, our Careers Advisors Days start early with a flight from Belfast International Airport around 8am – we want you to make the most of every minute, especially if this is your first visit to LJMU. With flights taking only 30 minutes, you can return to Belfast the same evening, although many delegates choose to stay longer and enjoy the city over the weekend.
