The Summer Universities at Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) are a fantastic way to find out what life at university is really like. The whole programme is free of charge to students in Years 12/13 and all we ask is that you fund your own way to and from Liverpool.

Join us for the Summer University programme where you can challenge yourself on a range of problem-based activities within our exceptional facilities. You’ll work alongside the Department’s supportive academics and current students, who’ll be able to answer your questions about your areas of interest and career prospects.

Whether you’re interested in more specialist topics such as computer security, forensics, or computer games, or more general programmes like computer science, multimedia computing, computer studies or software engineering – there is a course that caters to your interests here at LJMU.

If you do decide to study on one of our computer courses at LJMU, you’ll be joining a department known for its award-winning students, high-impact research, impressive industry connections, and innovative enterprise culture.

Take a look at our course factfiles to find out more about the degree programmes.

You will spend three days and two nights working alongside our academic staff and current students. By staying in real student accommodation you will get a feeling for what it is like to live away from home. If you are from outside of Liverpool, you will have the option of a city-tour, taking in the sights and sounds of our amazing city. In addition everybody will go out each night for food in the centre of Liverpool and afterwards will take part in a range of evening activities to keep you entertained and enable you to meet new people and make friends.

The daytime academic sessions are designed to give you a real taste of what it would be like to study at LJMU and help you to decide which course is right for you!
