LJMU’s Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Team in collaboration with the LJMU LGBTIQ+ Staff Network, presented an opportunity for all LJMU staff, students and members of the local community to attend this year’s Lesbian Gay Bisexual Trans (LGBT) History Month Event (2019).
From 1 December, the university will be implementing the new policy - an online info session is planned for 21 November.

The university will host an event for the Universities Policy Engagement Network (UPEN) to further their work in addressing Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) within academic-policy engagement.
LJMU's Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Team are proud to be working in partnership with a number of subject specialists, to deliver a range of interactive (online) staff development training opportunities, including the introduction of two brand new courses; a 2 hour Domestic Abuse Awareness Workshop and a 90min 'Actions Speak Louder' Experiential Allyship (Race) training session, as well as the return of LJMU's 3 hour Transgender Awareness Workshop (back by popular demand).

The first LASER session will focus on the theme of faces and identity with presentations on facial skin growth, forensic art and cosmetic surgery.
LJMU has created five Associate Dean positions across the faculties and one for Professional Services to support the university in driving forward the EDI agenda.
LJMU has successfully delivered the first international version of its Students at the Heart conference (SATH-QR 2025) with partner institution Oryx University.
