  4. New study suggests explanations for usage of plesiosaurs’ long necks

    Plesiosaurs are an extinct group of marine reptiles from the age of dinosaurs who are famous for their long necks. The effect of such long necks on how these animals swam is a mystery but now computer simulations are helping LJMU scientists understand what would happen if a plesiosaur turned its head while swimming.

    Liverpool Screen School was delighted to welcome award winning writer and director Mike Leigh for a screening and In Conversation event at Redmonds Building.    

  6. Getting to grips with technology in media

    Pupils from Sacred Heart College, Crosby joined the Media Technology Group of the Dept. of Electronics & Electrical Engineering to learn technical processes for creating TV programmes.

    More than 150 primary school children from across the North West came to LJMU to take part in an innovative, hands-on experience, entitled ‘Art at the heart of STEM.’
