  1. Disability Confident

    By being a Disability Confident employer, Liverpool John Moores University is being recognised by going the extra mile in ensuring disabled people get a fair change in recruitment, promotions and any other opportunities.

  2. Bambis Breastfeeding Friendly Charter

    LJMU was awarded the Liverpool Bambis Breastfeeding Friendly Mayoral Award in June 2022. The award recognises commitment to supporting staff, students and visitors who are breastfeeding their children to feel welcome to do so across campus buildings.

  3. LGBTQI+ Flags

    In 1978 gay rights activist Gilbert Baker created the first Pride flag with the goal of it being a symbol for everyone. Since then many new flags were created to represent all communities within the LGBTQI+ community.

  5. Network Associate Deans for Diversity and Inclusion

    The purpose of the Associate Deans for Diversity and Inclusion is to support the University in driving forward the equality, diversity and inclusion agenda at Faculty and Professional Services level and ensure local issues inform the Diversity and Inclusion overall approach.

  7. Staff Disability Network

    The LJMU Staff Disability Network is open to staff whom identify as having a disability (physical, hidden, mental and long-term health conditions), in the first instance.

  8. Women in Professional Services Network

    The University Women in the Professional services (WPS) is for all female staff in professional services at all levels. Established in 2022 we see the Network as taking a fundamental role to the University strategic mission and to become a visible and proactive consultative group on issues of gender diversity.

  9. Ethnically Diverse Staff Network

    The LJMU Ethnically Diverse Staff Network is open to staff whom identify as Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic, in the first instance.

  10. LJMU Together LGBTIQ+ Staff Network

    LJMU Together (LGBTIQ+) Staff Network supports the strategic aim of being a University where each person is respected equally and where diversity is embraced.
