Vice-Chancellor comment on the Referendum

Vice-Chancellor, Nigel Weatherill issued a personal message today to all students and staff:

"The debate on the relationship between Great Britain and the European Union has been intense in the lead up to the Referendum.

Much of the discussion has focused on the differences between the two groups of ‘Remain’ and ‘Leave’.

However, I want to emphasise to all our staff and students, both within the UK and overseas, that we are proud of our position as ‘One University’; a community of diverse people brought together to share a common vision on the values of education and working alongside each other as valued colleagues and students to deliver that vision.

In this respect, we welcome and celebrate diversity of people, culture and views within the community that is Liverpool John Moores University."
