Next phase of CourseLoop set to go live

The second phase of LJMU’s new curriculum management system is poised to go live and there will be temporary changes in how staff update their course information.

The first release of CourseLoop went live last September and has made the development and management of course information much simpler and less time-consuming.

The next phase will see course marketing and content management move to CourseLoop at the end of April.

Ahead of the go-live, colleagues will need to follow a different process to request or make any content changes:

Friday 10 March, 5pm: content freeze

All changes in SiteCore need to be carried out and finalised before 5pm on Friday 10 March. Existing course content editors will no longer be able to access SiteCore after this time.

Monday 13 March – Friday 24 March: data cleansing

During these two weeks, only urgent changes in SiteCore can be requested via an ITS web team helpdesk ticket.

Monday 27 March: SiteCore data extract

No further changes can be made after this date until the second CourseLoop release at the end of April.

Thursday 27 April: CourseLoop go-live

From this point, all marketing and academic item content changes will be managed via CourseLoop only.

The changes for academic colleagues will be minimal and a schedule for training delivered by Academic Registry will be shared before go-live of the system in April.

Training has been given to colleagues in Student Recruitment Marketing and Admissions. Anyone who has not received training will be supported by colleagues in the department.

If you have any questions about the marketing element of CourseLoop, please contact the marketing manager for your faculty or the ITS Project Manager, Gerard Lyons.
