Trans Day of Visibility Friendship Event and Open House



This International Trans Day of Visibility, LJMU is hosting our second Friendship Event for trans and non-binary students, followed by an Open House Networking event for LGBTQ+ staff, students and allies.

Trans Day of Visibility Event Details

The Friendship Event from 2–3pm is a closed, community space to allow our trans and non-binary students to meet and chat in a supportive environment over afternoon tea. Associate Dean, Education, Sarah Maclennan, and Associate Dean, Diversity & Inclusion, Phil Bakstad, will also feedback on some of the work that has taken place across LJMU since the first Friendship Event, earlier in the year.

From 3-4pm, LGBTQ+ staff and students and allies are also invited to join for an informal networking session with refreshments provided.
