The way to book catering internally is changing

To help improve the catering hospitality service for staff, things are changing in the new academic year.

Over the past year, requests to the Catering Team for hospitality bookings, across campus, have increased by 33%.

How to book LJMU catering

To help the team manage the increase in demand and to streamline the process:

  • All catering bookings will still need to be placed through the catering system on iBuy via Staff Infobase

  • Bookings will now need to be placed five working days in advance for serviced events and three working days in advance for non-serviced events/ general delivered catering

  • Core catering operating hours are Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm. Bookings outside of these hours can be facilitated but will be subject to the “serviced event’ notice period and must meet a minimum order value

  • Menus and pricing have now been updated on the iBuy catering system via Staff Infobase, where you can find a downloadable copy of the menu and service level agreements

Want to make an enquiry to the Catering Team?

New for September 2023, the Catering Team has implemented a new catering enquiry and helpdesk function to enhance the experience for staff and improve efficiency.

If you have any enquiries about catering, you should now email: cateringenquiries@ljmu.ac.uk

The team aims to respond to all enquiries within one working day, however, if your enquiry is urgent or relates to a booking or event within the next 12 hours, please call 0151 231 3137 directly, to receive an immediate response.
