I am an artist with an interdisciplinary practice informed by the cultural, political and social frameworks around contemporary art, music and visual cultures. My work centres around ongoing research on radical interdependence and sonic processes to consider notions of storytelling, ownership and alternative forms of knowledge production. My work ranges across sound, drawing, site-specific installations, performance, radio broadcasts and collaborative projects that often experiment with tempo, rhythm, multiplicity and spatial arrangement.
I am currently level 4 year lead on the Fine Art BA programme, have recently supervised on critical research and publication modules and teach studio modules across all levels working with first, second and final year students at Liverpool John Moores.
In 2021 I was commissioned to make a new composition for 'Consent Not To Be A Single Being: Worlding Through the Caribbean' an audio programme initiated to consider the Caribbean’s deep cultural legacies of poetics and music, organised by collaborative research project and transnational platform conceived by the Transnational and Transcultural Arts and Culture Exchange (TrACE) network and funded by a Social Innovation Grant from the Trans-Atlantic Platform for the Social Sciences and Humanities.
I have presented work across the UK and Europe in various other recent commissions, exhibitions, live performances, DJ sets and radio broadcasts with organisations including FACT Liverpool; Auto Italia South East, London; Montez Press Radio, London/New York; Horst Music Festival, Brussels; Frieze Live, London; ICA London; Les Urbaines Festival, Lausanne.
