Marc Provins is a Senior Lecturer on the BA (Hons) Fashion degree and a photographer exhibiting his work in the UK and abroad. He has worked in education for almost twenty years, teaching on multimedia, photography & fashion courses. Being in this post since January 2017, he is the year tutor for Level 4 and specialises on the Communication Pathway. During this time Marc has collaborated on live project briefs with the international ethical textiles company Plexus Cotton Ltd as well as The Walker Art Gallery & The Singh Twins.
Before joining Liverpool School of Art & Design, Marc studied and completed an MA in Creative Technology. His final project was a video installation exhibited in Manchester and was concerned with how we leave traces of ourselves in the physical and virtual worlds and how our environment informs our own internal worlds. Marc also studied at The Higher Institute of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Antwerp and during this time established a relationship with the Dagmar De Pooter Gallery who represented him for over a decade.
