Nicole Watkinson is a P/T lecturer in Fashion Communications BA Hons degree.
She is also an experienced sportswear and casualwear designer and consultant with over 20 years experience in the industry. Working full time and freelance with brands at head office - corporate companies, mid-size and small set ups. Companies/brands include: Reebok, Puma, Hussein Chalayan, Fifa, Marks & Spencer’s, Gio Goi, Brand Alliance, USC, Moon Climbing ltd, Global Brands, The Design Laboratory CSM, Baird Group, Farlows Ltd, amongst many others. Her experience is in communicating concept, trend, brand identity and positioning through to design realisation, illustration, full technical packages, buying, right up to production and delivery on product. Fully rounded background within the industry from design, development, communication, graphics, buying and design management. Having travelled extensively to design and develop product and develop relationships she recognises the intrinsic importance of working with suppliers and their capabilities in order to produce high quality, functional yet creative innovative products.
Other freelance activities include: Bespoke community art workshops .
Currently ,Nicole continues to freelance whilst lecturing part time at LJMU keeping industry and education linked.
