Dr Amr Al Khateeb is a Senior Lecturer in Marketing at Liverpool Business School, Liverpool John Moores University. Amr has been teaching marketing for more than 8 years and has achieved a prestigious teaching award.
Amr graduated from University of Reading with a PhD in marketing. His thesis is entitled “Consumers' favourable emotional feelings towards foreign countries: investigating the effects of consumer affinity on brand perceptions”.
Amr is an early career researcher and has active research projects in e-retailing and branding. In addition, Amr recently conducted an action research inquiry on student engagement in online learning environment to develop inclusive group work and challenge all students equally.
Amr is a Certified Management and Business Educator (CMBE) and an Associate Fellow with Advance HE and he has completed his Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (PGCAP) along with Academic Professional Apprenticeship at De Montfort University.
In terms of his teaching approach, Amr promotes social and active learning to enhance the education environment for generation Z students. Amr also uses a variety of technologies to enhance the learning experience and bring fun to class. Amr’s sessions are very practical with focus on employability and contemporary marketing issues.
