Before taking up his teaching role at LJMU, Andy spent the previous 25 years organising a programme of award winning events for the city of Liverpool. He was responsible for planning and implementing large-scale events across all genres of events in various environments, including heritage sites, parkland, maritime areas, and urban spaces. The events have attracted millions of visitors to Liverpool and played a role in the urban regeneration of Liverpool, helping to make it a vibrant and welcoming city for residents, visitors, and businesses alike.

Andy's expertise spans many aspects of event management, including event logistics, health and safety, licensing, crowd dynamics, feasibility studies, managing event impacts and contingency planning. All of which, he will be passing on to the students at LJMU.
