John is a qualified Accountant and an MBA graduate of Henley Mgmt College, with nearly 30 years commercial experience as a General Manager, Managing Director, & Finance Director, gained in the Property Development, Construction, Food & Beverage, Leisure, and Luxury Retail sectors of the UK and Internationally. For many years John worked in the property development scene of Manchester, regenerating many areas of the city, including: Ancoats, New Islington and the city’s creative Northern Quarter. Experienced in entrepreneurial, independent, SME organisations, with visionary and pioneering approaches to organisational development, John is comfortable at the commercial end of the financial spectrum.

Positively impacting student engagement, and supporting social-mobility for under-represented groups, are John's motivation for moving into Academia, where he delivers finance and business-centred content on the Business With, Business Management, and Chtd Mgmt Degree Apprenticeship under-graduate programmes, in addition to strategic finance content on the MSc, MBA, & MBA Scale-Up post-graduate programmes.
