Lisa is currently Head of Centre for Management Development & Innovation (CMDI) at Liverpool Business School where she leads a partnership between Liverpool Business School and Liverpool University Hospital NHS Trust with a focus on knowledge exchange and research to inform new ways of working and improved joined up practice within the Liverpool City Region. Prior to this, Lisa was Programme Leader for the MBA and MSc Leadership programmes with extensive experience in the development and delivery of executive education programmes.

Research interests include the development and implementation of systems and place-based leadership within the public sector, and the mechanisms through which experiential learning environments can enhance leadership, including pedagogical frameworks which foster leadership development.

Before moving into academia, Lisa held several senior and consultancy roles working within and for the NHS at both regional and national levels, including Research & Development Lead, Clinical Governance Network Director, and as a Management Consultant working with a range of agencies, including the NHS Institute for Innovation & Improvement, North West Innovation Agency, and NHS England/NHS Improvement to support performance and service improvement. Lisa has retained her connections to the NHS and Place leadership via non-executive director roles at Mersey and West Lancashire NHS Foundation Teaching Hospitals Trust and PRIMA Group Housing Association.

Lisa is a Fellow of Advance HE, a Certified Management & Business Educator with the Chartered Association of Business Schools, and a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute.
