Prof Matthew Tucker

Liverpool Business School

Matthew is Professor of Workplace and Facilities Management, and Professorial Lead for the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) at Liverpool Business School. Matthew adopts a multi-disciplinary approach to his workplace and facilities management research, combining concepts and techniques from the built environment, environmental psychology, and business and management. Matthew's specialist areas include workplace strategy, workplace productivity, the role of facilities management in building information modelling, performance measurement, and sustainable facilities management.

Matthew also works externally in different international roles, most recently as an Executive Board member of the Executive Doctorate in Business Administration Council (EDBAC), and a Facilities Management Expert for the British Standards Institution (BSI). Matthew is a Fulbright Scholar, winning the first ever RICS-Fulbright award, enabling him to undertake a pioneering research project on customer performance measurement in the US.

Matthew has over 70 publications that include peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, refereed conference papers, and industry reports. He has vast editorial experience and sits on various Editorial Advisory Boards. Matthew is currently the Associate Editor for 'Facilities' (Emerald Publications).

Matthew maintains close industry links as a Certified Member of the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (CIWFM).
