Diane worked in private practice as a solicitor for a number of years, specialising in conveyancing , wills and probate work.

Diane had taught as a sessional tutor on the LLB programme at Liverpool University and had spent several years teaching Part I ILEX Practice prior to taking up her post at LJMU.

The LPC commenced at LJMU in 1994 and Diane first joined the teaching team as a part time member of staff and subject leader in the early days of the LPC here in January 1995. In 2004 the full time LPC started at LJMU when she became a full time member of staff. Diane still maintains a link with a local firm of solicitors.

Diane is currently subject leader for Property Law and Practice, Solicitors’ Accounts and Private Client and is also part of the teaching team for Family and Wills & Administration of Estates, Writing and Interviewing & Advising She is also involved with the LLB programme teaching team here at LJMU along with the LLM QL as part of the teaching team for Equity & Trust Law and Succession.

In an administrative capacity, Diane is Senior Pastoral Tutor to the LPC & LLM QL heading up our team of personal tutors. Diane is also one of the admissions tutors for LLM QL.

Diane is an external examiner at Manchester Metropolitan University and City University and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
