Matilde has joined the Law School of Liverpool John Moores University in 2018 as senior lecturer in law She has research interests on human trafficking and on links between smuggling and trafficking. Matilde has a particular research interest in the situation of smuggling and trafficking in the Mediterranean Sea and on cross-border criminal organisations perpetrating these two crimes.
