Dr Al Hawesah's areas of research interest include innovative materials in civil engineering, bitumen, polymer-modified bitumen, asphalt mixtures, concrete, low-carbon materials and sustainable building materials. He is particularly interested in the potential and challenges that these areas present, and he aspires to contribute innovative solutions that enhance the performance, durability, and environmental sustainability of infrastructure.
