Dr Omoleye Ojuri

School of Civil Engineering and Built Environment

Omoleye is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Civil Engineering and Built Environment, Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU). Prior to joining LJMU, she worked as a Lecturer in the Department of Quantity Surveying at the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria. Omoleye is an Honorary Lecturer at University College London’s Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction.

Omoleye worked as a contractor's Quantity Surveyor for over five years after which she was awarded the highly competitive scholarship ($53,754) of the Joint Japan World Bank Graduate Scholarship Programme for a two-year Master of Philosophy programme in Infrastructure Management at Yokohama National University, Yokohama, Japan. Upon the completion of her Masters programme, she worked as a consultant Quantity Surveyor in the Nigerian Niger Delta Development Commission. In 2015, Omoleye won the fellowship of the prestigious Schlumberger Foundation Faculty for the Future ($200,000) that funded her Doctoral research at the University College London, UK in Construction Project Management. She is a Fellow of Higher Education Academy.

Omoleye has supervised over 100 Bachelors and Masters dissertations. Her specialisms include Social Value, Construction Project Management, Value co-creation and Net Zero Carbon. Omoleye is a reviewer for several academic journals. She was the Guest Lecturer on "The Built Environment Landscape Frontiers in the 21st century", during the 2019 Directorate of Physical Planning Annual Lecture at the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Nigeria. She is a module leader for Construction Procurement including Management Theory and Practice.
