Dr Ziad Abdeldayem PhD, FHEA
Senior Lecturer in Geomatic Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering, Liverpool John Moores University.

Dr Abdeldayem graduated from the University of Aleppo, Faculty of Civil Engineering in 2001. He received the vice-chancellor award for achieving the highest grade in the Department of Geomatic Engineering. Following research leading to an MSc and a PhD degree at the University of Cairo, he joined the Centre for Remote Sensing in Damascus as a Researcher in 2010. He then moved to the University of Liverpool in 2014 as an Honorary Research Fellow, and then as a Lecturer till joining Liverpool John Moores University in 2018.

Research interests:
1.The applications of GIS, remote sensing and spatial data analysis in mapping, digital infrastructure, sustainable built environment, Earth sciences, archaeology, forestry, geography, water resources management, etc.
2. LiDAR (Light Detection And Ranging) data processing
3. InSAR (Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar) data analysis
4. Drones (UAVs) for Civil and Geomatic Engineering applications
