Dr Jason McIntyre

School of Psychology

I am a Lecturer in Psychology with research interests in mental health, social psychology, and health inequalities. I work with clinical and local authority partners to produce research relevant to policy and practice. This includes examining NHS care pathways for people with complex mental health needs, decision-making in clinical settings, carer and patient experiences with services, and coding practices in NHS settings. I also conduct research on the psycho-social determinants of mental health symptoms, including loneliness, social identity, and socioeconomic status.
