Konstantin Nebel holds a BSc. in Geography from the Justus-Liebig-University Giessen, Germany and a MSc. in Climate and Environmental Change (Physical Geography) from the Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz, Germany.

His PhD project is on Reconstructing rapid Holocene Arctic climate change and glacier behaviour and focusses on a multi-proxy approach in northern Iceland. The project's Director of Study is Timothy Lane.
