Dr Mark Grabowski

School of Biological and Environmental Sciences

Dr. Mark Grabowski is a biological anthropologist and paleoanthropoloigist whose research focuses on the postcranial skeleton and how evolutionary changes in body size and shape both reflect and drive major adaptive transitions in human biology and behavior. Research interests integrate paleoanthropology and functional anatomy with evolutionary biology – through quantitative genetics, evolutionary modeling, and phylogenetic comparative methods. Recent field work has included searching for Miocene fossil apes in Creu Conill, Spain.

Dr. Grabowski is the programme leader for the new MSc. in Human Evolution.
