Lucy is programme leader for BSc Nutrition & BSc Sport and Nutrition for Health at Liverpool John Moores University. Lucy is a registered nutritionist in the areas of both food and public health. Lucy's research interests are within the discipline of 'health at every size', this research explore how and why people make the food choices they make, which social constructs influence these choices, and using qualitative methodologies Lucy is investigating the concept of 'fatness' as an embodiment of neoliberalism. Lucy is currently conducting a study on living with a fat body in a society focused on personal responsibility for healthy behaviours. Lucy is also currently involved in ongoing research within the Nutrition Group at LJMU looking to improve the profile of Takeaway and Away from Home eating, my input is to use qualitative methodologies to investigate the motivators for these food choices.
