Scott is a PhD student at LJMU investigating the efficacy of CBD supplementation, under Prof Graeme Close and Dr Dan Owens. Following completion of his BSc Sport & Exercise Science and MSc Sports Performance Science degrees at The University of Chester Scott began his PhD at LJMU in November 2020.

Scott's main areas of interest are the effects of CBD supplementation on Exercise Induced Muscle Damage (EIMD), pain and recovery in athletic populations. Alongside his PhD research, Scott is also interested in the applied physiology of team sports with extensive research and practical experience.
