  1. Access Hireserve

    Log in to the Hireserve Manager Portal aimed at streamlining the recruitment process for Hiring Managers the Portal will aloow you to see, in real-time, where vacancies are up to in the portal and have immediate access to applications when they come in, making shortlisting easier and reducing your time to hire.

  2. Hireserve Hiring Manager Portal guidance

    The HR team have introduced a Hiring Manager Portal, available within our recruitment system – Hireserve. This will streamline the recruitment process and give Hiring Managers end-to-end control and visibility of their vacancies in one place, from initial request to advertise, shortlisting, inviting candidates to interview through to making an offer to your preferred candidate.

  3. Shortlisting

    Shortlisting is the process of identifying candidates from the applicant pool who best meet the essential (and sometimes desirable) criteria set in the Person Specification for the vacancy they are recruiting to.

  4. Outreach Team

    The Outreach team lead on LJMU’s undergraduate recruitment and widening access activity with schools and colleges.

  5. Customer Relationships and Insight

    The Customer Relationships and Insight team works closely with all areas of the wider Student Recruitment Marketing and Admissions team, and colleagues across the institution to ensure LJMU consistently delivers an exceptional experience for prospective students.

  6. CRM

    Find out more about LJMU’s Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) which is currently used for managing interactions in relation to Admissions, Student Recruitment, International Enquiries, Careers and Student Advice & Wellbeing, and aims to create a single repository of all interactions with students throughout the entire student lifecycle, from enquiry through to alumni.

  7. Interviews

    The main goal of the interview is to establish information on the candidate’s capability to successfully perform the duties of the role and ensure the best person is hired.

  8. Establishing a vacancy and vacancy approval

    A vacancy may arise for a number of reasons, such as staff resignation, retirement or a new post (either temporary or permanent) may be required due to taking on new projects or responsibilities.
