Within the Built Environment and Sustainable Technologies Research Institute our areas of expertise are: constructions management and economics, facilities management and real estate management, radio frequency and microwave technologies, materials technology and environmental technologies. We identified that our priorities for development involve consolidating some areas, promoting some SDGs which are not typically present in our work, and influencing wider strategy within the institution. Our final goal is about embedding PRME into our strategic management practices.
The interconnected research theme of the group is the prevention and cure of human diseases. We look at: synthetic organic medicinal chemistry, natural products drug discover, photochemistry, nutraceuticals and food supplements, pharmacology and toxicology.
