    The Industrial Design Group has been focusing on human-centred design research that applying Human Factors theory to optimise human well-being and overall system performance.

  2. Electrical and Electronic Engineering facilities

    The Electrical and Electronic Engineering Research Centre has a wide range of facilities, including probe stations, test samples, semiconductor parameter analyzers and a range of three-phase and multiphase (five-phase, six-phase and nine-phase) machines too. The Centre also has two-level and three-level voltage source inverters and a three-phase to nine-phase direct matrix converter.

    The Astrophysics Research Institute is interested in star formation, stellar evolution, time-domain astrophysics, galaxy formation and clusters, dynamics and evolution. Our aim is to become an internationally recognised centre of excellence in astrophysics.     Policing, Security and Prisons research within the Centre for the Study of Crime, Criminalisation and Social Exclusion.

    Research undertaken by CCSE members of the Social (In)Justice Group seeks to explore key social issues around crime, social harm, social divisions, state power and social justice.
