A Green Future Awaits

In 2023 Student Futures ran a Green Internship Project with three LJMU students. Their assignment was to explore the area of Green Careers and Skills in more depth. The project ran over 12 weeks and covered:

  • creation of infographics
  • LinkedIn Learning – analysis of the Global Green Skills Report 2022
  • creation of diverse graduate case studies
  • professional interview with green industry sector leaders
  • blogs on topical sustainability and green area careers
  • creation of a sustainability careers fair guide

LJMU Student Green Interns created a series of infographics as part of the project

 Infographic stating 60 gallons of water for one bath, 30% cold air escapes a fridge when open, 500ml recycled drink can will provide energy to power 4 hours of TV, 830 tonnes of carbon dioxide released annually from the internet, 12.7 million tonnes of plastic ends up in ocean every year and 40% of UK emissions come from households infographic regarding recycling stating that 40% of all waste going to landfill is paper, 67.2 million tons is recycled out of 267.8 million and 75% of global plastics can be recycled
