To protect everyone’s data, we’ll be introducing Mutli Factor Authentication in just one week’s time.
If you log on to LJMU services including Canvas, from home, we may now ask you to take an extra step, just to be sure it’s really you.
We’ll send you a one-off verification code via an authenticator app, text or phone call (your choice!) which you’ll need to access LJMU services. From there you’ll be able to continue as normal.
You may already have this feature on mobile banking or social media accounts and the extra step will only add a few seconds to your sign in. These changes will come into effect from 1 November, and we need you to register your details now, to ensure you have no delay in trying to access LJMU services.
From 1 November, you won’t be able to log in without it.
