#FindYourSpace

The university is committed to providing a holistic package of services and resources to support your wellbeing. A new online hub brings together these resources into an easy to use and accessible place to help you find the support you want and need.

The university provides access to a wide range of internal and external support, guidance, self-help literature, advice and tips to help you look after your mental health and wellbeing.

“We all need help occasionally, but it can also be useful to check in with yourself every now and then,” says Andy Keegan, the university’s Reward, Recognition and Engagement Manager who has been leading on putting the hub together.

“There is a really strong commitment from the university to helping staff in these areas, because we want to look after the LJMU community.  Yes, sometimes some people will have an urgent need, but it’s also important that all of us stay self aware and avoid problems becoming too serious in the first place.

“There are a lot of resources on the hub to help with that.”

As we head into Wellbeing Week (7-11 March) we are looking at how to #FindYourSpace to focus on your self care and expression.

#FindYourSpace can also be about being comfortable with who you are, what you want to be, and the things you like. That’s why as part of LJMU’s Wellbeing Week there will be activities to help staff and students explore health, staying fit, even finances.

“All these things can contribute to your wellbeing, reducing worries and finding happiness,” Andy finishes. “During Wellbeing Week, we encourage everyone to share what is important about your own space – join us, by using #FindYourSpace and #LjmuWellbeing on social media.”
