Five things not to bring to your student accommodation

As many of our new students move into their student accommodation this week, our LJMU Accommodation team is giving their advice on 5 things to definitely leave behind

What NOT to bring to university

Pets

Bring a stuffed animal, but no pets are allowed in Halls.

Kettles, toasters or other shared kitchen utensils

Most are provided by the Halls and the rest can be split between your flatmates once you’ve arrived.

Candles

A fire hazard, bring a diffuser instead!

Electric blanket

Another fire hazard. Plus you won’t need one as there’s no additional heating bills in Halls.

The wrong size bedding

Check with your Halls for dimensions and bedding sizes.
