International Welcome starts this week

This is the first bespoke welcome programme catered for International New Arrivals.

The International Induction will be spread over two days this week on 15 and 16 Sep, with various activities organised by International Relations and delivered in collaboration with JMSU, faculties, Registry, SAW, Library, Accommodations, Student Futures, and International Admissions.  The programme is also supported by Student Ambassadors.  International Students will also have access to the City Region International Welcome programme with tours around the city.

More details can be found on the dedicated webpages International Induction | Liverpool John Moores University (ljmu.ac.uk).

Joining this welcome event is a great way to start a new life in the UK, adjust to the LJMU university environment and to meet other new and current international students. International students are given the opportunity to network and connect with other students, members of the international and student support teams, and with programme leaders. Students who attend these types of events tend to have a smoother transition into their academic studies and life in the UK, and most importantly feel welcomed and supported.

The International team also have plenty of exciting activities going on e.g. welcome lunch, city and campus tours, and pub quizzes with other students to facilitate interaction with the wider LJMU community.
