Monday 19 September is now a bank holiday. View the updated welcome week/freshers 22 schedule here

UPDATE: This page has now been updated as of 20 September.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As the funeral of the Queen has now been declared a bank holiday. JMSU and LJMU has updated their programme of events for Welcome Week and Freshers 2022.

Welcome events will run across the month of September with the main Welcome Week taking place from Tuesday 20 - Friday 23 September.

Teaching will begin on Monday 26 September for all students following the standard academic calendar.

All the events can be viewed via the JMSU's Freshers 22 microsite and we encourage all staff to share this link to the Welcome Week page to let students know about the events.

The main event to signpost students to will now be the Big Freshers Fiesta Welcome Event (12-7pm) at the SLB on Wednesday 21 September with the Advice and Support Fair (10am-4pm) also taking place during the event.

Each new student will also have received a ticket in the mailout which entitles them to a Welcome goody bag which can be collected from JMSU Reception in the SLB, Wednesday 21 September, 10-7pm.

Students can log on and sign up themselves, and staff can also make a group booking for your programme, by contacting JMSU's Sarah Latham directly.
