I am a Senior Lecturer in Midwifery with an interest in Maternal and Infant Health.
Research
I am an active researcher, currently undertaking research surrounding conscientious objection to abortion, cultural competency and Infant feeding. I undertook my PhD on bottle refusal by breastfed babies and led the LJMU UNICEF BFI Gold award.
Global work
I am a Technical Advisor for the WHO collaboration centre (Formerly Public Health England) and a member of the India Birth Network. I am collaborating with a number of Midwifery colleagues across Europe (France, Switzerland, Germany, Latvia) to explore cross cultural learning on midwifery teaching programmes.
Research Methodology
I am interested in research methodology, particularly online research methods - I undertake workshops in relation to this subject as part of the OMG (online methods group).
