Lauren is a lecturer within the adult nursing team at Liverpool John Moores University, where she teaches on a range of modules within the pre-registration nursing programme.

Before her academic appointment, Lauren had worked clinically in acute general medicine, medical high care, ITU and oncology. Lauren has a passionate interest in developing the current and future nursing workforce and has worked as a professional development nurse and a practice education facilitator for the NHS. During this time, Lauren developed her teaching skills and completed the Professional Nurse Advocate module. Since then Lauren has been able to deliver restorative clinical supervision to colleagues and students with the aim of improving health and well-being.

Laurens research interests include: health inequalities, community health screening, cancer and end of life care.
