1. Encourage your students to share their feedback

   This March is Student Voice Month and we are asking staff to encourage all students to share their feedback and suggestions about studying at LJMU.

4. Black History Month: Celebrating local Black artists

   Hip hop artist Nikki Blaze joins Amy Zanders and other Black artists for day of celebration with LJMU's School of Education

5. LJMU Climate Research Institute

   Staff are invited to attend a second workshop focussed on the proposed LJMU Climate Research Institute. It follows the successful design sprint session held in December, in which colleagues with research interests in the area met to begin scoping out the planned institute.

6. Professor & Reader Conferment 2019 – Call for Female Applications

   Each year applications are invited for the conferment of Professorships and Readerships and the process for 2019 is now open.

7. Chair and Panel Member Briefing Sessions

   Three in-person sessions are being offered in Exchange Station for academic colleagues who wish to become a Validation/Periodic Programme Review chair or panel member.

8. £5M European funding to support development of Liverpool’s ‘Sensor City’

   The England European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020, has awarded £5 million to support the development of a hi-tech sensor hub in Liverpool city centre.

10. International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) - 3rd December 2019

    1981 was designated by the United Nations as the International Year of Disabled People and since then, 3rd December has been marked as the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The day aims to promote a better understanding of disability issues with a focus on the rights of disabled people and the gains derived from their integration into every aspect of the political, social, economic and cultural life of our communities.
