The Men's Network
Building connection, wellbeing and positive change
The LJMU Men’s Network is a supportive and inclusive space for male staff across the University to connect, share experiences, and promote positive wellbeing.
The network brings together colleagues from diverse backgrounds and roles, creating opportunities for open conversation, peer support, and personal and professional development.
Our purpose
The Men’s Network aims to:
- promote mental health and wellbeing by creating safe spaces for honest and constructive conversations
- encourage positive masculinity, challenging harmful stereotypes and supporting healthier ways of expressing identity
- foster inclusion and belonging, recognising the diversity of experiences among men across the University
- provide peer support and reduce isolation through community-building activities
- support personal and professional development through learning events, workshops, and shared learning
What we do

- talks and workshops on topics such as health, mental health, wellbeing, and work–life balance
