The Football Exchange Women's Network services

Purpose/role of the group

This network project will be located within the Football Exchange at LJMU and aims to connect women working in football by offering opportunities for curriculum placements (Levels 6-8), peer support, general networking, guest speaker/lectures, and the potential for research collaboration. If you would like to consult with the network on anything related to policy and initiatives, ideas or events please get in touch.

Membership

Core membership is open to all LJMU staff, students and alumni from the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences who are currently working across the football industry (men’s, women’s, walking, disability at community, grassroots and/or elite levels). If you are interested in working in the football industry, or looking to expand your network please register your interest in joining the collective by sending an email to: fexwomensnetwork@ljmu.ac.uk.

Working methods

This group will adopt a shared learning approach through virtual and face-to-face meetings, online careers/outreach events, and blogs/short articles to document current issues and methods of best practice with the aim of enhancing knowledge, developing ideas, and inspiring the generation of females who aspire to work in football. To this end, ‘The Football Exchange Women’s Network’ will seek association with other organisations for broader networking, lobbying and engagement.

By collaborating with ‘The Football Exchange Women’s Network’ you will benefit from direct access to the knowledge and expertise of world-leading female practitioners in football.

If you are currently working in a sports science role and want to join a growing network of passionate female practitioners, register your interest now.
