Health and wellbeing support at LJMU
The health, welfare and wellbeing of our student community is our number one priority.
We understand that starting or returning to University may mean that you have questions or concerns on a variety of issues. Our Student Advice and Wellbeing team are here to support you. Our drop in service is at the Student Life Building, Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm and appointments are available across campus and virtually via Teams or telephone at the following link to the SAW booking page.
If your query is relating to a specific issue such as money, disability, international advice for example - then please contact the relevant team(s) within Student Advice and Wellbeing.

SilverCloud self-help modules
LJMU has partnered with the self-help cognitive behaviour therapy programme, SilverCloud. You can access the online programmes to help you deal with anxiety, depression, stress or body image issues. Take the information and techniques you learn from each module and apply them to your day-to-day life.
SilverCloud have recently added an additional resource ‘Space from COVID-19’.
‘Space from COVID-19’ offers a variety of modules to support students and staff in these challenging times, from helping us developing emotional coping strategies through to support to deal with grief and loss.
Togetherall is an award-winning online mental health and wellbeing service designed to help people get support, take control and feel better. It provides 24/7 peer and professional support plus a range of wellbeing tools to help people to self-manage their mental wellbeing.

Support with your mental health out of hours
If you are concerned about your mental health and your GP is not available then present yourself to your local mental health crisis service.
The Occupational Health Unit at LJMU seeks to promote and maintain the health and wellbeing of our staff and students. Find out about the services the Occupational Health Unit provides including: immunisations, referral for fitness, managing health issues, health screening assessment, vaccinations and travel advice, fitness to work and much more.
