Research Themes within the Research Centre for Brain and Behaviour

We are investigating the brain, behaviours, and how brain and behaviours are interrelated.

Our research covers the whole breadth of psychology and adjacent topics. It advances the theoretical understanding of psychological processes, discovers the biological, psychological, social, and spiritual mechanisms of human behaviour, enhances our knowledge of brain functions and studies how these functions underpin thoughts, feelings and behaviours. Much of our research has an applied focus. We develop new intervention approaches, investigate the effectiveness and efficacy of interventions and programmes that aim to improve mental and psychical health and wellbeing as well as approaches to preserve good health and wellbeing.
