All About STEM

Inspiring young people into STEM subjects

STEM Learning Ltd operates some of the most important, influential and internationally recognised programmes supporting STEM education and skills in the UK today, including: the National STEM Learning Centre and Network, Project ENTHUSE, ESERO-UK, STEM Ambassadors and STEM Clubs.

Through its UK network of regional STEM Ambassador Hubs, STEM Learning works to promote STEM subjects and careers to young people via the UK-wide volunteer STEM Ambassador Programme.

The School of Sport and Exercise Sciences is committed to supporting the Programme, which is managed in Merseyside, Cheshire and Warrington by All About STEM. The programme enables anyone with Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths (STEM) skills to inspire young people and demonstrate the possibilities of STEM subjects and careers.

All About STEM provides regular STEM Ambassador training for LJMU staff and students in the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences. The School then encourages staff/students to be involved in activities, requested by schools and other organisations and then advertised by the regional STEM Ambassador Hub. These activities take place in local schools, at public events and within other youth contexts such as uniformed organisations, and include such things as bespoke career events, demonstrations and subject talks. Through their involvement in the programme, our LJMU STEM Ambassadors are fully insured and DBS checked at the enhanced level.
