Nutrition, physical activity and weight during pregnancy
This module aims to equip practitioners with knowledge around nutrition and physical activity during pregnancy, optimal gestational weight gain and how best to use this knowledge to support women through their pregnancy.
By the end of this module you will be able to:
- Understand the importance of nutrition and physical activity during pregnancy (for both maternal and child health)
- Understand optimal weight gain during pregnancy and why it is important
- Support pregnant women to develop healthy eating and physical activity behaviours
